On Monday night, in Uttari Sudha of Sugauli block of Motihari, the in-laws beat their son-in-law to death. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sent the body to Sadar Hospital Motihari for postmortem. The deceased has been identified as Gopal Sah, son of late Rudal Sah, resident of Dakshini Sudha village ward-2 of Sugauli police station area. The in-laws have been made accused by the family of the deceased by giving an application in the police station.
The relatives of the deceased have alleged that the mother-in-law, wife’s brother and others beat him to death. The deceased’s sister-in-law said that Gopal Sah had sold his land two years ago and bought land at his in-laws’ place and built a house. She told that her brother-in-law was beaten up by his in-laws almost everyday. She told that her brother-in-law was murdered and kept in the house. She was not even informed about this. People living nearby informed about this. After that, when we reached the spot, we saw that the body was lying on the ground. But no one from the in-laws’ place was near the body. After that, the police was informed about the incident.
He told that on Tuesday morning police reached the spot and investigated the matter. Then the body was sent to the hospital for postmortem. Even before this, his brother-in-law was beaten up. We went there and rescued him and brought him home. But he went back to his in-laws’ house again.
At the same time, the deceased’s wife Sunita Devi alleged that he beat me up at night and committed suicide in anger. Anita has two sons and a daughter. Various things are being said in the village about the murder. Now only police investigation will reveal whether it is suicide or murder. Police station in-charge Amit Kumar Singh said that the application has been given by the deceased’s family. An FIR has been registered, in which the in-laws have been made accused. The police is investigating the matter.
